What to Expect from Dental Implants

  • Do you have a few missing teeth?
  • Are your dentures bothering you?
  • Have you ever thought of getting dental implants?

They are one of the most commonly used and easily inserted artificial teeth available. What’s more, they are also very comfortable for the wearer. Not really sure what dental implants are and where you can get them?

We have the perfect solution for you.

At SEDA Dental, we provide you with excellent dental care, be it for your regular routine checkup, or some kind of dental surgery you may be in need of.

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are screws that are placed in your gums for the support of fake teeth. They are screwed in your jawbone so that they provide convenience and durability to the fake tooth. They can be used to replace teeth that are lost because of root canal failure, some gum disease, congenital defects, tooth decay, tooth injury and excessive wear or tear of the tooth.

Dental implant crowns have been used since a long time and the procedure is safe and effective. When you visit us for a consultation, we will advise you on what are the best kinds of dental implants for you and what cost effective package you should opt for.

Types of Dental Implants

There are basically two types of dental implants; endosteal and subperiosteal. Endosteal is when the implant is screwed in the jawbone. It is mostly used for people who have removable dentures or bridges.

Subperiosteal dental implants are those that are put on top of the bone so that the posts of the dental framework appear on top of the gum and hold the fake teeth. This is not very common and is used for people who have short bone height and cannot wear dentures.

At SEDA Dental, we will first analyze the kind of jawbone structure you have and then take a look at the reason for why you are in need of a dental implant. Depending on your individual condition, our expert dentists will decide what is the best solution for you and then advice you.

Can You Have Dental Implants?

Whether you are missing one tooth or several, or if you want to get rid of your dentures, dental implants are an ideal cure for you. The implants last a long time, depending on how well you take care of them. Keep in mind though that if you don’t maintain the dental implants, they can get infected and lead to soreness, discomfort and even bleeding and even gum infection.

This is the reason why you will need to take care of them just like you do with your natural teeth.

So visit us today at one of SEDA Dental’s 6 convenient South Florida dental offices near you, and find out more about dental implants and any other kind of dental need that you want taken care of. SEDA Dental also offers 24 hour emergency dental service.

It’s so exciting and touching to read about these extreme smile makeovers. They both truly deserved to be chosen. I too, have struggled with teeth problems for several years. I have alot of missing teeth and I do not smile in pictures and I try to talk a certain way in order to cover my teeth. Due to financial problems and no health insurance, I have not been able to go to a dentist. I would love to get more information on dental implants and what payment options are available. I don’t not qualify for Care Credit. Thank you
